Facilitator/Host Advanced Training

CHANGE OF DATE!!!! CHANGE OF DATE!!!!

Saturday, May 10th 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (originally slated for Thurs., May 15th)

If you have completed a volunteer orientation and want to become a facilitator then this is the training to attend!  In May, our organization will be re-introducing the social groups to make them a big part of YouthPride.  We only have facilitators for the young adult group at this time.  We need lots more!  This training is very helpful to any volunteer that works in the center.  The training will help you learn better listening skills, warning signs of suicide, and much more.

If you have already attended this training and would like a "refresher" course then please feel free to join us.

Special "Pride" Volunteer Meeting for ALL Volunteers

We hope you will be able to help us this year at the 2008 Atlanta Pride Celebration to be held over the July 4th weekend. YouthPride will hold a special meeting on June 28 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. to discuss the the details of Pride weekend.  Please make plans now to attend this important meeting.

DID YOU KNOW...

Did you know that our volunteers at the Pride booth do not have to go through a volunteer orientation and background check prior to volunteering?

That's right!!! Because this is a public event, you are welcome to bring a friend, partner, parent, or co-worker along with you to volunteer.

Pride is a great opportunity to show a friend or employer first-hand just how valuable YouthPride is to metro Atlanta's LGBTQ youth!

For any questions regarding volunteer opportunities or trainings, please contact Paul Rogers, Volunteer Coordinator, at (404) 521-9711 X 252 or via e-mail.
