YouthPride Mourns the Loss of Phillip Rush - a True Champion
On behalf of the entire YouthPride family, the Board of Directors would like to extend our deepest condolences and many prayers to the family and friends of Phillip Rush as they grieve the loss of a person who touched so many lives.
The passing of this great Champion of the GLBT movement has saddened us all, as Phillip’s dedication to his community and advancing equality was unmatched. Phillip loved and supported the youth of YouthPride and he always believed that one day, true equality for our GLBT youth would be achieved. Phillip’s passion and selflessness is what made him a legend in the GLBT community-a legacy which will never be forgotten.
“Philip was there from the beginning. He was the first person to listen to our story and mission. He has, on several occasions, been a savior - strategically and financially - for YP. We will truly miss his insights, encouragement, and applause", noted Frances-Ann Moran, President, YouthPride Board of Directors.
