Too often as individuals we feel powerless to effect change. We want to take some action to make a difference in the world but obstacles get in the way; fear, politics, economic crisis, work demands. Witnessing the impact and growth of YouthPride since its inception in 1995, we remain grateful for that one individual who began this crusade for the safety, survival, health, and wellness of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth. That first individual who understood the power of one. The one who insisted that abuse, neglect, bullying and suicide of LGBTQQ youth stop. YouthPride still needs your financial support to continue positively impacting the community.

• Counseling, psycho-education, and/or suicide prevention services are delivered to 300 youth annually
• YouthPride receives 5,800 visits per year
• Individual, group, couples and family counseling by licensed professional counselors
• More than two dozen suicides prevented last year
• YouthPride is open six days per week
• YouthPride operates a 24/7 helpline that receives 1,000 calls per year
• Free HIV testing provided
• Artistic expression is facilitated through Art RAVE (Realizing Artistic Vision in Everyone)
• On-site library
• Cyber center
• YouthBoard
• Social services (housing, food, clothing, transportation, job assistance, etc.)
• YouthPride conducts background checks on all staff and volunteers
• YouthPride offers free clinic services for its members
• Weekly discussion forums include groups for youth who are transgender, male, female, people of color, teen, and young adult
• YouthPride conducts cultural competence and anti-bullying workshops for school systems, churches, communities and corporations
• YouthPride is the only organization in the entire Atlanta area, exclusively devoted to LGBTQQ youth health and wellness
