Current Openings @ YouthPride

Center Host:  Center hosts are the first point of contact for everyone at YouthPride.  You'll sit at our fabulous front desk and check youth and guests into the center.  Center hosts also work our switchboard answering calls and handing out needed information to youth, parents, and more.  Center hosts also supervise youth during drop in times.  This position requires an every other week commitment. 

Movie Night Host:  Our movie night team runs our Movie Night program every Thursday night.  Our youth look forward to gathering in the lounge and relaxing with a good movie!  Our movie night team selects movies, plans programs, and serves refreshments.  Movie night hosts are also responsible for closing the center.  This position requires an every three week commitment on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm.

ArtRAVE Host:  Crafty and artistic volunteers are needed to host our ArtRAVE (Realizing Artistic Vision in Everyone) program.  ArtRAVE happens on Friday nights from 5:30-6:30pm and volunteers would rotate on a three week rotation.  Volunteer are charged with creating a project either weekly or monthly as a team.  Supplies will be provided by the center.  Occasionally volunteers may have to lock up the center after the program is complete. 

Fitness Team:  Are you a personal trainer?  Are you certified to lead yoga, pilates, or other cool workout programs?  We are looking for new volunteers willing to lead a bi-monthly workout option for youth.  Programs should be fun and not involve lots of equipment.

HIV Tester/Counselor:  Our testers provide free and confidential testing to youth 4 days a week and at all special events.  Testers should come with a certification to provide an orasure or clearview test.  This position requires an every other week commitment.

Administrative Assistant:  Sometimes YouthPride just needs a little clerical help.  As an administrative assistant you'll work with one of our talented team members to provide great services to our members.  Assistants will preform a variety of duties.  Schedules for this position vary and are flexible.

Development Associate:  YouthPride throws 4 major fundraisers a year along with several smaller campaigns throughout the year.  At the heart of each of these are our volunteers.  If you would like to help sustain YouthPride for future generations to come this position is for you.  Schedules for this position vary and are flexible.

Information Technology:  Our center is home to over 20 computers and at some point one will need to be fixed.  If you have experience in the IT field and are looking to volunteer we have just the job for you.  IT volunteers work on our computers and website.  Plus, IT volunteers provide workshops and seminars to teach our youth how to use computers and prepare them for the future.  Schedules for this position vary and are flexible.

YP 24/7 Operator:  Our phone lines are open 24 hours a day 365 days a year for our youth to call.  Our volunteers staff the lines ready for anything.  Calls range from a request for information to just needing someone to talk to.  Operators work overnight 12 hour shifts from their home.  Shifts are scheduled every other week.  On weekends 12 hour day shifts are available. 

Facilities Associate:  Our facilities volunteers are not just handy people, but handy at saving money.  Our volunteers that provide general repairs to the center save YouthPride thousands of dollars a year.  Lend a hand and give our youth somewhere fabulous to hang!

Special Events Host:  YouthPride Special Events Hosts not only host events for youth, but also throughout the community.  Our volunteers have been seen at The Toy Party, Backpack In The Park, Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus Concerts, and much more!  Hosts also assist with dances, fundraisers, field trips, parties, and more around the center.  Schedules for this position vary and are flexible.
